Total Ghana launches the Mckingtorch footwear pop-up shop

Total Ghana in collaborations with Mckingtorch Africa has launched the Mckingtorch Footwear Pop-up Shop at the Accra Liberation Road Total Service Station.

The footwears were displayed in the 100% solar-powered Total Sunshine Kiosk. Managing Director of Total Ghana, Mr. Eric Fanchini launched the footwear.

The Mckingtorch Africa initiative is a startup project that focuses on recycling plastic waste into sustainable footwear.

By sponsoring its development, Total said it strives to reduce plastic waste in the country, whilst encouraging job creation amongst the youth.

HDPE and LDPE plastic waste are recovered from the streets, offices, homes, and community buy-back programs to serve as raw material for the sandals, which are made in Ghana.
