After being disqualified from the 2020 BB Naija lockdown edition, Erica’s Gofundme Fundraiser has generated over 19000 dollars in 2 days.
Obviously her presence on BBNaija season 5, Lockdown edition got her such an amount in a few days. It is heartbroken to see other fundraisers struggling to get 1000 dollars to help in heart operations and other illness on Gofundme. Erica created the fundraiser for numerous reasons which she outlined on the Gofundme page. Here is what she puts as a description for the fundraiser.
Erica Makes $19K on Gofundme
For Erica Nlewedim, the star of BBNaija season 5, Lockdown edition whose journey on the show came to an emotional end – To realize some of her hopes and aspirations.
1. I was associated with the recipient’s management team during the course of her stay on the show and in contact with her and her team. Proof of support and affiliation on my social media page
2. I have the recipient’s account details hence all donations will eventually be transferred into the account. Her Nigerian accounts are published on her official social media pages
3. The funds will be used to raise awareness for mental health as per therapist’s fees and also help her get back up on her feet considering the disqualification.
She also made it known that funds derived from the fundraising will be publicized on her social media handles. she got disqualified after she had three strikes from organizers of the show. Erica had a couple of issues on the show but the latest wich obviously Got her packing out was a misunderstanding she had with laycon.
Prior to the eviction, 26-year-old Erica Nlewedim, a fan favourite, was disqualified from the show for multiple infringements from Saturday night. Erica, who already had two strikes and a final warning from previous offences thus became the first housemate in the Big Brother Lockdown season and the first Head of House in the history of Big Brother Naija to be disqualified.
Facts About BB Naija
The first season of the show first aired on DStv Channel 37 from 5 March to 4 June 2006. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.
Ebuka, the most popular housemate for several weeks into the show and widely believed to emerge the winner was the seventh housemate to be evicted; many viewers blame the Joe’s Fan Club (JFC) for his eviction. Joe himself was soon evicted from the show.
Big Brother added another twist to the game on Day 79 by cancelling the day’s scheduled nominations and making the housemates believe they will instead be evicted based on their performances on assigned tasks while in reality no more evictions were held and viewers began voting for the winner who turned out to be 26-year-old Katung Aduwak.
