COCOBOD HQ closed down as staff test positive for COVID-19

Some staff of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) have tested positive for COVID-19 forcing management to close down its head office on Wednesday, 8 July 2020 for fumigation.

A statement released by the company on Monday, 6 July 2020 said:  “All necessary arrangements have been made for the affected staff to receive the necessary medical attention and contact-tracing is currently ongoing to enforce quarantine and isolation measures.”

The fumigation exercise according to the statement will ensure the safety of the other staff.

Work is expected to resume on Monday, 13 July 2020.

On Tuesday, 6 July 2020 BOST closed down its Dzorwulu headquarters after some of its staff tested positive for the virus.
